Unsere Geschichte beginnt

Julian Cowan gründet sein Familienunternehmen Cole & Mason in der Londoner City. Ursprünglich als Geschenkartikelunternehmen gegründet, expandierte Cole & Mason schnell und erfolgreich in den Bereich allgemeine Eisenwaren und Haushaltswaren.

1946

Eröffnung unserer ersten Mühle

Julians Ehrgeiz wurde Realität, als Cole & Mason seine erste Mühle auf den Markt brachte: die Capstan-Mühle, die in Park Green von Hand gedrechselt wurde. Ein sofortiger Erfolg unter der Marke Peter Piper, dessen Design heute praktisch unverändert ist.

1975

Die weltweit erste Acryl-Mühle

Cole & Mason bringt die weltweit erste Türklinke aus Acryl auf den Markt: das legendäre Modell 505. Inspiriert von Acryl-Türklinken, die man auf einer Dinnerparty gesehen hatte, ist das Modell 505 bis heute ein beliebter, zeitloser Klassiker und Teil unseres Kernsortiments.

Unsere erste 2-in-1 Mühle

Mit Blick auf die Zukunft sichert sich Cole & Mason ein Patent für die innovative Duo-Mühle. Dieses clevere Design vereint Salz- und Pfeffermühle in einem Behälter und bietet so eine stilvolle und platzsparende Lösung.

Der Queen’s Award für Exportleistungen

Cole & Mason erzielt nationale und internationale Erfolge und wird mit dem Queen’s Award for Export Achievement ausgezeichnet, nachdem sie in den frühen 1980er-Jahren zur Nummer eins unter den britischen Marken für Salz- und Pfeffermühlen geworden sind.

2001

Unsere erste elektronische Mühle

Um mit der Zeit zu gehen, bringt Cole & Mason seinen ersten elektronischen Mühlen mit dem Namen "the Manhattan" auf den Markt, der sich als erfolgreiche Ergänzung unseres stetig wachsenden Mühlensortiments erweist.

2010

Eine neue & moderne Mühlenreihe

2010 kam unsere beliebte und bekannte Derwent-Mühle mit einem modernen Design und einem transparenten Gehäuse auf den Markt. Diese wird die Inspiration für die Stadhampton Chilli and Gewürzmühle sein, die 12 Jahre später, im Jahr 2022, auf den Markt kam.

2019

Ein Jahrhundert des Geschmacks

Cole & Mason feiert sein 100-jähriges Jubiläum mit dem limitierten Geschenkset „Knightsbridge Centenary Silver“. 2019 wird zudem Precision+ eingeführt, ein neuer Mechanismus aus Kohlenstoffstahl, der bei jeder Drehung für mehr Pfeffer und Geschmack sorgt.

Die London Kollektion

Die im September 2023 vorgestellte London Collection zelebriert die jahrhundertelange Erfahrung von Cole & Mason im Bereich Gewürze. Inspiriert von Londons Art-déco- und Industriearchitektur würdigt sie unser Erbe und bietet zugleich ein klassisches und zugleich zeitgemäßes Design für die Zukunft.
